The Legend of Cindy White

Image
INTRODUCTION TO SPENCER Spencer Mcfield Sheppard was born on October 4th, 1999. He had a huge passion for nature, animals, and of course, storytelling. Born and raised in Manhattan, New York, he found little places of nature in community gardens and parks within New York City with his mother, Joyce Sheppard. Later in his childhood, he found a portfolio of mythical and magical creatures that Joyce was working on. That soon developed into a fascination of some mythical creatures throughout his early teen years. Although he is high functioning autistic and couldn't speak and write well, he had a passion for doing animation. He worked on his drawing skills for fun and to keep his dream alive. But he gave up the pursuit of an animation career when he reached the age of 17. Though this was the end of the  journey of becoming an animator, it was the beginning of a storyteller.  THE BIRTH OF CINDY  On October 16, 2016, Spencer had a dream that  inspired him to change ...

The Enchanting Flower Crowns in Spencer's The Butterfly Fairy

Last year on October 4th, Spencer had bought a wildflower crown that was bought from Etsy shop. But however this flower crown was delivered all the way from England. The wild flower crown consists of materials of real dried flower specimens. Flower specimens such as daisies to baby's-breath flowers. The wild flower also consists of having some ever greens that are dried up.  Although this rose flower crown may look real, but actually these are artificial flowers of  roses and baby-breath flowers. Created by Joyce Sheppard in July 2024, this flower crown holds a special place in The Butterfly Fairy. Cindy White, the princess of the butterflies wears white roses on her hair. Later in art, Spencer drew her with white roses in her hair as well. Legend has it she picks up a color rose and place it on her hair. But when the roses placed on her hair that's when it turns white as snow. The legend branches out in his concept art instead of the stories.  In conclusion, flowe...

A Brief History of the Polyphemus Moths in The Butterfly Fairy  The polyphemus moth is a giant silk moth that was bred and raised at Spencer's Butterfly Fairy Museum at 2024 to the present day. There were many brought and raised as cocoons from various breeders for educational purposes. In 2025, Spencer and his mother Joyce wrote a butterfly fairy book called Silent Wings. Which featured a polyphemus moth named Mitch who was deaf and uses sign language for communication. Now Mitch was inspired by a real life polyphemus moth that hatched on November 2024. He lived in captivity for a couple of days before he was released into nature. Interestingly Mitch rather stay in the family's home than be released outside. Considering how cold it was getting. Mitch has been always attracted to light flickering in there home. After the release on his fourth day, Spencer fell in love with these moths. So much so they wrote Silent Wings, raise numerous polyphemus moths in 2025, and even chang...
