The Legend of Cindy White
Spencer Mcfield Sheppard was born on October 4th, 1999. He had a huge passion for nature, animals, and of course, storytelling. Born and raised in Manhattan, New York, he found little places of nature in community gardens and parks within New York City with his mother, Joyce Sheppard. Later in his childhood, he found a portfolio of mythical and magical creatures that Joyce was working on. That soon developed into a fascination of some mythical creatures throughout his early teen years. Although he is high functioning autistic and couldn't speak and write well, he had a passion for doing animation. He worked on his drawing skills for fun and to keep his dream alive. But he gave up the pursuit of an animation career when he reached the age of 17. Though this was the end of the journey of becoming an animator, it was the beginning of a storyteller.
THE BIRTH OF CINDY
On October 16, 2016, Spencer had a dream that inspired him to change his life forever. That dream was a glowing fairy princess named Cindy White. She appeared in his bed room and introduced herself to Spencer. Confused, Spencer was puzzled and mind-blown. He kept pinching himself to wake up from this miracle. But, Cindy transported Spencer into her own flowery kingdom, known as the Fairins. It was a lush paradise and he was in awe of the diversity of butterflies and moths around him. He took notes in his head about the different butterfly species. When he woke up from this powerful dream, he immediately said to himself. "That's what I'm going write about." And wrote about it he did. But it wasn't always easy as he still wanted to do animation. But he was not successful in that field. But when 2020 came, and covid hit, he wrote "The Butterfly Fairy" story and changed his life and those around him forever.
TODAY'S STORIES
In November 2020, he not only wrote The Butterfly Fairy, but he illustrated and created its iconic characters. These included the wise Flita, the regal Queen Sonne, and even the terrifying King Dunkel. All were either from real experiences from Spencer's life or from his own imagination. It took two years to find a publisher to publish The Butterfly Fairy, which wound up being a self published book. By December 23rd, 2022, The Butterfly Fairy was published nationwide. Today the story is a classic to any reader who is passionate about fantasy and spirituality. But that's not the end of the legend of Cindy White. Spencer and Joyce wrote more butterfly fairy books about Cindy White. These stories include The Butterfly Fairy Tales, Flutter of The Butterfly Fairy, and so many more wonderful stories from the present day and to perhaps the future!
